What is it?
Self-harm can be a way of coping and expressing your problems/feelings you can't put into words; distract you from reality, or release emotional pain. Most people who commit self harm try to keep it a secret. Over time the secrecy and guilt affect your relationships with your friends and family members. Thus you feel even more isolated, this can cause the self-harm frequency to increase.
